Damaging loophole of A-Z Claim for buyer getting free product?
So we just got a case, buyer unhappy with item request to return, which automatically approved for him to return item, but then opening A-Z claim straight away after, and then buyer won the case, got free stuff without returning and we lost inventory plus penalty point at the account? what kind of policy is this?

Most A-Z are automatically refunded in my experience and then you need to appeal. Have you appealed? What was the reason for the A-Z?

I think you should be able to open a SAFE-T claim. You will have to wait 15 days for the goods NOT to be returmed, then you have to reopen the case and should get refunded.
In fairness my experience is that whilst waiting is a pain, Amazon do pay out on these type of claims if the goods are not returned

Dear all.
I think we have all had enough of this now as its getting beyond a joke.
When you do your appeal give Amazon a crime reference number this is easily obtained by reporting your issue via action fraud online its about time we said enough is enough.
I had a the same issue on a expensive lego item and won my case on appeal and went above and beyond with all my evidence. Stay calm and be polite when it comes to your appeal.
The more of us that report these crimes going forward the more chance we have of someone doing something about it.

What reason did they give for the A-Z.
The last couple of A-Z's I had for items where a return request is raised followed by an A-Z have been closed by Amazon and the buyer told to return them.
I have seen over the last 2 weeks a big increase in return requests. I think a lot of the buyers are looking for returnless refunds. So perhaps when they don't get this they then open an A-Z

do the appeal in a-z with all your evidence etc it should be reversed, sadly there is no real support available from amazon when it comes to fraud and deception, fake returns and whatnot.

Yes, you are very right in your comment, I think the same thing.

I am currently awaiting a response from a customer regarding a return. He initially requested to return an electric screwdriver, stating that the on/off button was too stiff. I assured him that this would not be an issue and advised him to send it back for a refund. However, upon receiving the package, I discovered that the screwdriver was missing. It appears he mistakenly used a Royal Mail label from the post office, which recorded the package weight as 550 grams. The sealed box, however, should weigh 850 grams, while the screwdriver itself weighs 300 grams.I have politely reached out to inform him that both the screwdriver and its charger were not included in the return. I am now waiting for his response.
