Selling question? Regard to titles
Hi All,
I have just noticed a fellow company selling on AZ . they are using their own brand name in the same product title with a much larger UNRELATED big German companys brand name and selling this product as their
kind of ` their own, it seems.
I checked their store and they have done this with 20 products approx. putting their name against another unrelated one.
To me and other possibly some AZ customers it could imply they are the bigger company. I’m not sure the larger company would be too happy if there was any bad association with this.
I would be very surprised if a smallish UK company is the sole licence holder in the UK (they are not as this product is easily obtained from 20 different suppliers in the UK and hundreds of stores plus many various European suppliers ones too). I had no mention of such from any supplier either.
I can buy this product from my wholesale and certainly no mention of said UK on the invoice etc.
In that the product title reads as if they own these other company/close links?
A bit like an product saying "Woolies Brand Mikes Bikes" in that
Mike Bikes` owns or has close links with Woolies? (no offence to the wonderful Woolworths).
This company sells similar items to us, however I do not sell most if any of their items. I note they have added their company name to many of their listings and it appears these are items easily available in sewing related products.
Are they allowed to put a independent company`s name and their own name in the title. Or is it against policy.
Cheers, all the best

The are probably resellers of the Big Brand and have created their own asins to hog a buy box knowing other sellers won’t risk adding their offer to it
By adding the proper brand to the listing, it shows customers they are in fact buying that branded product and not a PL one
and yes, it is against policy
