ANOTHER A TO Z ROBBERY BY AMAZON

It's enough. All third-party sellers need to act together to sue Amazon or take Amazon to court; otherwise, this robbery will never stop.

Here is my story: A customer sent me a message through Amazon chat support saying they wanted to cancel an order. However, the order was already on the way and scheduled to arrive in two days. We informed the customer that the order was on its way and could not be cancelled, but assured them they could open a return request and send it back once they received it.

The customer never responded to us after that. They received the order—Evri took a picture of the parcel being handed to a person, with the door open. Our packaging is clearly visible in the picture, and the GPS location matches the customer's address. However, the customer claimed they never received the order.

We provided Amazon with all the evidence, including photos and proof of delivery, but Amazon still refunded the customer.

The same thing happened with another order. In this case, the customer didn’t ask to cancel it but still claimed they didn’t receive the order. Again, Evri handed the parcel to a person with the door open, and the GPS matched the address, but Amazon refunded the customer despite all the evidence we supplied.

My question is: should I take this matter to court against Amazon or the dishonest customers?

How many of you sell on ebay as well? Have you run an INR comparison between the two platforms?

If like me you see a pattern that Amazon customers make abundantly more INR claims than ebay customers, then this scam is obvious.

I had an INR on ebay last week (Only one in the last four months!) I had a GPS pin, date & time of delivery & good to their word ebay found in my favour, had that of been an Amazon INR it would have had an altogether different outcome.

Funny how far more Amazon packages go missing when they're travelling with the same couriers & in the same vans as our ebay orders.

Have you ever wondered why ebay gets far less visitor traffic than Amazon?

Well the answer is simple: WHEN PEOPLE BUY ON EBAY THEY ACTUALLY PAY FOR THEIR PURCHASES!

I am sorry to hear this has happened. You have encountered a non-genuine customer that knows how to take advantage of the Amazon system. Please raise a report with Action Fraud UK.

Unfortunately in A-Z Guarantee Claims for "INR", no level of evidence will satisfy Amazon to make them rule in your favour – completely undermining the integrity of third-party delivery methods and forcing all sellers towards FBA for protection. Besides being incredibly corrupt, I recommend raising a complaint to the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA) to investigate further.

This is all due to the statement which was added without notice some time ago to Amazon's A-Z Guarantee policy, here (linked): "In circumstances where the item has been delivered but not received by the customer, a Claim may be granted in the customer’s favour and debited from your account to preserve the customer experience."

I don't actually have an issue with most of the above statement. However, if this is the experience that Amazon wants their customers to have, the amount should be debited from them, not us. The notion that signature, photo, GPS coordinates and full tracking does not qualify as "delivered" is ludicrous. I believe that Amazon will be dragged through the courts once day and we will all have hefty claims for compensation.

It might be worth compiling this information and evidence. Unfortunately this will not be the first or last time this will happen. The more you have recorded, the greater your case when the time comes.

All the best!
