Card verification charges

Hi, I've just had the pleasure of verifying my payment card with multiple amazon sites. It's around £9 worth of charges to my bank. Do they refund this?

They put a reserve on the card only, the funds do not leave your account, and the reserve will drop off within a few days.

Very well said @Seller_rGtEcZnu0JTRD, thank you so much! But in essence, yes we do not actually charge the card.

And as per our help pages, Seller Credit Card FAQs, Amazon may ask your financial institution to authorise a charge for a small amount; Amazon will not actually make the charge. We will complete the authorisation process for all Amazon stores where you are registered to sell. Depending on your financial institution, the authorisation may or may not show up as a pending charge. The authorisation should disappear from your credit card statement in 3-5 working days, subject to your financial institution’s policies.

Hope that helps!
