Read onlyWell, the more I try to help on this forum, the more it appears to be just bot run.
Not only are the moderators now unresponsive even to their own questions and engagement but I discovered that I am now answering questions from sellers that appear to be either templated or AI related.
Worse still after answering a question, I also found that one of the moderators @Spencer_Amazonhad answered the same question as me 2 months ago stating he will pass the query on to the team for help.
The forum is here to help but just turning into a frustrating battle that is now controlled by AI.
I think if you spot a forum post that is generated from AI or templated, then you should seriously warn against it and consider action to accounts for this behaviour, it is abusing the forum and the process.
This is also the problem of helping out unknowns and newbies as an extension to seller support, you will be drawing a rod for your own back and this is clearly now becoming the case.
Lost Buy Box & Featured Offer Type this into your search and have a look at the number of copy and paste questions. They have been answered before but because it has triggered a Mod response, AI will now pick this up as a way to get a moderator to interact. Hopefully moderators are not AI but some have alerted that this seems to be getting more suspect as time goes on.
Just to let you know the answer I gave was a query from a seller asking why an ASIN was not getting the feature buy box but it was clear after investigation that it had fake reviews. The moderator was tagged and there was no response to me for actually coming back with acknowledgement of the help given. In fact as soon as I saw the related post I was almost ashamed for taking the time to answer it as I felt I had been conned into helping someone trying to game the syytem.
I'm not sure AI is the problem, the post may have been AI generated but equally could have been run through a translation tool. Although I certainly agree read the forums long enough and you do see the same posts from the same sellers working on the theory it worked once so try it again.
Even if resolved for them they carry on as before and get more poor reviews, lose the buy box again because of the reviews and return to the forums hoping to restart the cycle.
I'm not sure about the mods* but it's clear that Amazon is heavily invested in AI and sees it as the future.
I remember an interview with JB himself from a few years ago where he said he would ideally like to replace human staff with robots where possible - and that included upper management, as I recall!
*I should add that I think all of the threads started by mods or 'Amazon news' are cut'n'pastes posted to all Amazon forums.
Yes, I get annoyed with all threads where they ask us to contribute / share our thoughts and views, and feedback, but then NEVER come back with any comment from themself. There was one (can't remember which one as there have been several - 'Engage with Amazon' ones), but not a single follow up except maybe saying they will pass on to the team.
Having spent several hours on the phone to various representatives about a problem on my personal account I feel like I could get better responses from Chat-GPT. At least AI listens when I say it's done something wrong.
Amazon in it's entirety is just one large feelingless computer. I doubt whether someone is real or a bot makes that much difference to the outcome unfortunately.
I am so please to hear that its not just me..... @Spencer_Amazon replied to one of my posts telling me that 'he' would look into the matter for me..... That was 2 weeks ago..... I guess other forums are available?
