Sending product to Amazon FBA in 2 parts

Hi all,

We are planning to sell trash cans via Amazon FBA. The issue being is that the product contains a lot of volume when sent separately. For this reason, we want to stack the trash cans and put the lids in a separate bag.

Although the lid and trash can will be packaged separately, they will be sent in the same box.

My question being, can Amazon re-arrange the lid on the trash can and package it in the warehouse?

Thanks in advance.

Amazon will not put together your sellable unit. You need to ship to FBA as you want it shipped to customer -- trash can and lid together. Might I suggest you look at the fees associated with FBA and compare with FBM. Don't forget that you'll be charged dimensional weight fees for SPD. And if you LTL you'll have higher shipping because your weight class will be high.

Hi @Seller_3R7itgp4nKmPf,

First off, just wanted to say thank you for the thread and welcome to the Forums! We are happy to have you here. :)

This is a great question, and I see you have already received some great advice and resources from other sellers - so happy to see this! I definitely recommend taking a look at the help pages that Vernon sent over.

If you have any additional questions on your specific product packaging and volume, I'd recommend opening a Seller Support case, that way someone can help you out more one on one.

Also, since you're new to the Forums, I would encourage you to check out the New Seller Community. This is a group within the Forums where new sellers can ask questions, get advice from peers, and learn from educational posts highlighting best practices and programs that will help you get started as a seller here on Amazon.

I hope this is helpful for you! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Jameson
