BHX3 Delays
We have multiple shipments delivered 7 days ago.... still no check in. Anyone got any idea whats going on? Seems to be getting worse too. Last shipment that got checked in took 5 days after delivery, now its 7 and counting.
Why doesnt Amazon give estimates of check in times for the FC when we are creating shipments to help us manage our inventory & cash flow better. I'm sure there are plenty of sellers who would rather FBM than FBA if they knew there was a 7 day check in delay. This information would reduce delays and lower backlog of shipments. Come on Amazon sort it out. The more info you provide us the more efficient the entire system becomes.

From what I’ve heard, the check-in times can vary quite a bit depending on the fulfillment center and the current workload.

Small parcels are usually checked in within a few days, pallets can take several weeks, but absolutely nothing is guaranteed when it comes to Amazon. We've seen pallets waiting over a month for check in and parcels simply vanish. And this all pales into insignificance compared with some of the delays we've experienced in the US.
For context, some (not all) of the BHX fulfilment centres are particularly bad (BHX4 springs to mind). My info might be out of date now but BHX codes represent some of the earliest FCs that Amazon built. They're bigger and less efficient than the newer satellite FCs. I hold my breath every time I see we've got a shipment headed to a BHX code.
Either way, it is what it is. I came to accept a long time ago that this is simply how Amazon work, and if you want to sell via FBA, you have to accept that you're going to come up against their frequently poor service. We can't change it, and Amazon have no interest in doing better. If anything, it's only going to get worse as they continue to cut costs and implement more AI.
I'm not negative, just realistic. 14 years selling on the platform has given me a good indication of where to set my expectations when it comes to Amazon's service toward sellers :-)

You should try sending over-sized stock to Germany , it seems to be getting re -routed to a Polish ware house and then takes at least 56 weeks to go into inventory .
However UK can be a bit hit and miss , normally the delay is in Amazon refusing to accept the shipment until a date that suits them . This does not happen in Germany or France , with standard stock .
On the whole I would say the European ware houses are better equipped . But God help you , if ever something is in the shipment that you forgot to add , or was no wrong product , as Germany will always state something missing , but never state they got unexpected item.

Exactly the same for me I had two small boxes delivered to Tamworth on 7th September, now they're just sitting there, normally they'd be checked in within a few days. It means I'm going out of stock on a few listings, losing bsr and cash.

Agree that guidance on how long would be helpful but 7 days isnt actually much of a delay at all
