incorrect / malicious review about shipping time
Hi everyone,
please help me, Amazon is my sole source of income and best listing just got a 1 star review that decreased demand 90%, and its got absolutely nothing to do with me.
The review: "Order running 5 days late, no good at all, going to cancel or return" 1 star
Firstly, the order shipping has nothing to do with me, thats amazon, also the unit was shipped out the same day it was ordered and the review was also written the same day it was ordered. Im not sure if this person is talking about a different product (not mine) that he had issues with or if this was malicious but this review is false and is costing me real income
seller support even admitted/directly said its not my fault "We understand that you are requesting the removal of a customer product review (Review ID: R36HSKTQR3AB29) on ASIN B0DRTN5WZ5 (TREYTECH Jackal Pro Red Dot Sight). The review, titled "5 days late," is exclusively about delivery speed and contains no feedback about the product itself, and you have mentioned that it violates Amazon's Community Guidelines." But they say just report the review (I did that and it hasnt worked)
Please please please could somebody help me it would really mean the world to me. Ive never posted to a forum I just dont know what else to do.

Hi Nik
Check the review is a product review and not a review of your business first.
If you used Amazon FBA and they were delayed by 5 days, then the review will definitely be struck through. If you go into your Amazon Seller app and check the reviews, you should see a big line through the review as it has been struck through by Amazon. Sometimes it can take 24 hours for this to happen.
If it still does not have this, you should definitely contact Seller Support.

Hey Nik, welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out. I can see this is frustrating, especially when the review clearly has nothing to do with your product itself.
You're right that reviews should reflect the actual product experience, and Amazon does have specific criteria under our Community Guidelines for when reviews can be removed — including when they don't relate to the product. Since you've already reported the review and opened a case with Seller Support, here's what I'd suggest as a next step: try contacting our Community team directly through Customer Service. Go to Help with something else > Something else > Amazon Community > Customer Reviews > Violations of our Guidelines > I need more help > Send us an email. This gives the review another look through a different channel.

Interesting.
If its a Business Review, why has demand dropped by 90% for this single product. That would suggest a business wide calamity.

It's been posted as a product review, not seller feedback. As there are only 3 reviews, two 5* and one 1*, this will probably affect the visibility on Amazon, hence the drop in demand.
It should be eligible for removal, as there is nothing in the review about the product and should be in seller feedback.
I would also add that the above is a big mistake. You should have your eggs in multiple baskets. As you have found, Amazon is a fickle marketplace and can destroy a business relying on it for the smallest reason. Best to have a backup for resilience.

I agree
But the previous comment said it was a business review, whereas I thought it was a product review like you.
Deciding where and how to sell your products is an individual decision however.

IT was a review of the business, but in the section reserved for product reviews. It should be in seller feedback.
It is up to the seller where they want to sell, but Amazon may suddenly make that choice for the seller and suspend or ban them for the smallest of reasons. Also some change in the algorithm, or a review in this case, can make sales fall off a cliff. Using other marketplaces in addition speads the risk.
