400+ products removed by Amazon, no solution?

Me and many other sellers sell Pokemon products and in the past year Amazon has started to request documentation to show the safety of these products.

The difficulty comes when the biggest supplier in the EU/UK for Pokemon doesn’t even have these documents and when it comes to selling individual Pokemon cards, these documents don’t exist.

Do Amazon want to sell trading cards ? because they are making it incredibly difficult, i wish they would just tell us that they no longer want them to be sold.

Any ideas on what i can do ?

Consider yourself told.

All card games (including trading cards) fall under the toy safety directive. With a few exceptions such as if the cards have a notable “adult” theme.
So yes they do need the safety documents…
I would imagine the documentation for a pack of cards would be the same as for an individual one though.

Well lets say i list them as ‘‘collectible’’, will this actually exempt me from needing the documentation ? i doubt it.

Also, would i create a listing for each individual Pokemon card ? or would i list each card under the booster pack set that it comes from ? some sets have 300+ cards. So imagine viewing a listing for a booster pack and seeing 300+ offers.

And dont get me wrong, im not disagreeing with you guys. Everything were saying here is not right or wrong, its about the best solution. This problem is extremely vague and Amazon is no help at all.

If you are getting cards from a sealed pack as you stated and then opening them and selling them individually , these cards can then not be sold as new !

And I would assume it is not what the manufacturer had in mind that they supplied cards normally packs of 5 , I believe.
Then that is what they should be sold in with the correct documentation as they are classed as a toy

Try listing as Used like new , it might work

I think people have responded very harshly and as they do not sell in the category have been a bit unhelp and blunt.

I feel for you on this one as I sell pokemon cards as well. I decided to not sell singles of any trading card because amazon bots say no. This said I have a large amount of sealed pokemon products in which the only distributor in the UK is unable to provide the documents for. I know lots of people are pushing them but it looks like it will take until next year for them to come about…

It’s a zero flexibility platform. I think every seller has to accept that because it will not change. We have to accept it for what it is.

Anyway, I have 23 new sealed product FBA listings that have been pulled and Asmodee cannot supply the documents. Guess ill have to take a train down to London and Visit the Pokemon HQ to speak to the big guy in orders to get anywhere. Or maybe someone has Bezos’s number ?

I agree with the many others.
You purchased the item in one format and opened it to sell in a different format.
You either take responsibility for the safety of the new format or sell then as used.

However, if you try it that way you might get caught out for selling an item using the Pokemon name illegally.

like it or not Amazon has these rules in place and won’t bend from them. Opens a massive can of worms if they allow you to bend the rules.

Hello!

Sorry to see no one actually being helpful here.

If you are creating the listings for the cards yourself, and you believe that these single cards are for an adult mark then when you create the listing go in the advanced view and put the warning on that they are suitable for 14+, then you no longer require the paperwork.

If not then you can produce the paperwork yourself. I will attach a link at the end of this paragraph of a woman who makes her own teddy bears, and also produces the declaration herself, which she explains in the video.

Anymore help needed just ask!
