Is it possible to send shipments to FBA fullfillment centers in padded envelope?
Hi, I've got an Amazon FBA question. Is it possible to send a small shipment of a product in a padded envelope to fulfillment centers? I've learned the hard way that sending products in a box can be expensive.
The problem is that the Amazon shipping page asks what the box dimensions are.
What can I do?
Thanks

Hi @Seller_0CVmWDSxrCSVr,
I understand wanting to save on shipping costs! Unfortunately, padded envelopes aren't accepted for FBA shipments. Under the "Packaging shipments" section at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/G200141510, Amazon requires a rigid, six-sided box with flaps intact. The minimum box size is 6 x 4 x 1 inches, and boxes can't exceed 25 inches on any side or weigh more than 50 lbs.
To keep your shipping costs down while meeting these requirements, you might want to:
- Use the smallest acceptable box size (6 x 4 x 1 inches)
- Choose appropriate packing materials (the help page lists bubble wrap, kraft paper, or air pillows under "Packing materials")
- Pick a box that's just right for your product - not too big, not too small
Just keep in mind that if shipments don't meet these requirements, they may be refused at the fulfillment center or returned to you. You can find all these details in the "Refused shipments" section of the help page.
Best regards, Michael
