Pending orders
First time seller here, hoping to check my theory is correct.
I submitted some inventory to LBA4 to be fulfilled as FBA. This inventory was sent with UPS to LBA4, but appears to have then been checked in to BHX4. Amazon has located all units, and all units have now sold. I am now being told that there is a movement from whichever FC they're currently in (BHX4 or LBA4) to LCY3 which should be completed within the next ten days.
Each customer who has placed an order has their order in 'pending - awaiting payment verification', because "Amazon has not yet been able to obtain authorisation for the buyer’s credit card".
My assumption is that once inventory has been moved to LCY3 that it is despatched from there and, at that point, payment is taken, and these orders show as fulfilled. Is that correct?

Yes, Amazon authorises the payment when the customer places the order, but does not actually take this until the item is dispatched, so although the money is effectively blocked on the buyers card, the money is not actually taken until it is dispatched, and hence it will show as pending.
With the amount of time being quoted for dispatch, you may find that some of the orders get cancelled by the buyers, or products returned as no longer needed.
