Pack of 10 into individual items
This is probably a really stupid question, but I’d rather be sure than make a mistake.
I want to purchase an item that comes as a “pack of ten”, but I want to sell them indivually. Am I able to do that or do I have to sell it as a pack of ten?
I am assuming that selling individually shouldn’t be a problem, then I can try and get the 1 items ASIN/EAN and add them?

This has come up on the forums before and the biggest problem you will have is if Amazon ask for invoices.
For example your invoice shows you have brought 10 packs. You have sold 100 individual items on Amazon. There is a query with the item and Amazon ask you to provide invoices which need to match your selling volume. Your invoices only show you have brought 10 but you have sold 100. Amazon may reject your invoices saying that it doesn’t match your selling volume. There was a thread about this a while ago.
You will probably also need a new EAN for the individual items as you can’t really use the one for the pack of 10. This EAN may not match the brand owner details and it maybe hard to list the individual items.

You can do this, but it really does depend on what it actually is that your splitting.
I do actually do this with some of the items that I sell, as they come in sixes, but get sold in twos.
But if this is a special pack that the manufacturer has made, with it’s own EAN number, then you may run into a problem. If it’s 10 single items, just bundled as a pack, with their own individual EAN’s. and a separate EAN for the pack itself, then you can do it.
But possibly the biggest problem with splitting a pack like this, is if the brand owner doesn’t like it. You really should have permission from them to do this.

I have got the EAN from the wholesaler, but it is still listing as one individual item - yet the wholesaler is saying it’s a pack of ten, kinda feel as though there is an error with the wholesaler

Not sure if I’m stating the obvious here, but wholesalers often sell things in larger packs, I buy my greeting cards in packs of 6 and sometimes 12, but these are intended to be sold singly, its just bulk packing for wholesale.
What exactly is it you are selling?
Tescos etc get their beans in wholesale packs of I think 24, but they don’t sell them like that…
