Amazon confirm they do not process RETRO CHARGES even when a customer requestes this.
Over the years we have had many occasion where a customer requests a retro charge, only to find it does not happen, raised this before on the old forum which seemed to happen all the time from other sellers comments.
Last month customer contacted us to say item had been delivered a little late and he wanted to pay for the item as we had already refunded him. I said the only way to do this was to contact Amazon and request a RetroCharge to his payment card.
He duly did this and informed us that "Hi, I've just been in contact with Amazon support and they have confirmed the money will be transferred within next 5-7 days."
A few weeks later not seeing any funds returned I opened a case and suprise suprise he is Amazons unfair response:
Hello,
We have reviewed the buyer’s claim and the information you provided for order 203-7980589-3786709. Although we understand your position, we stand by our decision.

Have seen this reported SO many times over the years - CS say they will re-charge the card, but never do. I wonder if anyone has ever had a successful retro-charge ? - be good to know .
