Anybody sell to Poland ? Best way to ship to Poland?

Hi Guys,

I am based in the UK and I sell UK only.

I have some stuff that is " rare " in a sense that it is irreplaceable. Sealed old DVD / PS2 games et al.

Somebody from Poland has contacted me.

Normally I just say sorry UK only, but with this Shipping Override thing I see I could actually post worldwide.

What would anyone here recommend as the best

I have just looked online.

Royal Mail - about 10
DHL - about 30
FedEx - about 100 !!!

Obviously I would go with Royal Mail, but of course once its in Poland its the Polish Mail System. And I read baaaad things about certain overseas mail services. Cough cough Italy. Manyana manyana …

DHL are charging more than it’s worth, but if they want it that bad …

I mean I’ll insure for 500 in the sense that it would be a complete R Sake to have to get a replacement.

Anybody with experience of shipping to Poland and recommendations ?

THANK YOU GUYS !

You should definitely ship there without worries.

It isn’t a country known for problems with INR.

I never experienced any issues.

You might want to list them also on allegro in Poland. Never experienced any issue with sending items to Poland and have used both tracked and normal RM service. Tend to find the standard no tracked service being quicker. Royal Mail passes over shipments to pocztapolska which is Polish National mail company. You do not need a phone number for this service.

Actually if you selling a bulk item probably go through royal mail or parcel2go?

Interparcel DPD to PL 13.5£ up to 30kg you won’t find anything cheaper for larger items

There we go, offending a specific country’s postal service without even having used it once. We have no words :expressionless:

Besides, that “manyana” is not even Italian :joy:  It’s Spanish and you even misspelled it! It’s mañana.

DPD is the best. We used them to ship from Ireland to Poland with the similar price:) I belive it may be even up to 31 kg not 30 if I remember it good:)

I have both family and a supply chain in poland.

Royal mail will just forward it through GLS. I’ve had issues with GLS in Germany, so I try to avoid royal mail to Poland for that reason. I’ve only sent less important items to Poland that way, they did all arrive except for 1 item last year.

I always try to use DPD there, and they have decent prices. You can order them through parcelmonkey. Never had a problem with them.

The people in Poland are honest, and the mail is pretty trustworthy although it’s occasionally over- bureaucratic when it comes to Customs, so post-brexit you might get some annoyed customers. For the moment though, it’s fine.

I usually use DPD when I ship to Poland. Full tracking and never had any issues.

Sent some large heavy art books to Warsaw a while back. I sent them via UPS, insured them for the full value and they got there in about 5 days, no issues.

I was with Royal Mail for years and years! However they lost SO much stuff.
Now I ship all international orders with Deutsche Post. (Including Poland as we are VAT registered there)
They are faster and cheaper! Couldn’t recommend enough. Although I do think you have to ship a certain amount with them to get the benefits.
They are great especially with the harder countries to ship to.
