Upgrading to the Professional Plan?
Advice please - I used to have the Pro account but downgraded to Individual 18 months ago due to poor sales over the last year. I thought this would be for just a short time but losing the Buy Box made it worse so just ticked over as I was.
I seem to be getting better sales now and am considering upgrading. It used to be very straight forward with no consequences but have things changed?
Will it trigger re-verification? What happens to my shipping settings currently set by Amazon on the Migrated platform? Will they stay the same so I can go in and change each one when I want? The few books I sell are all £2.80 of p/p of course. I’ve never uploaded in a file before just individually so…

Hi Janet!
Happy New Year!
Upgrading your account won’t trigger verification. If you were changing contact information such as your name as an example or updating your bank account this would trigger verification.
In regards to shipping settings a default shipping template will be applied to your inventory when you upgrade. You may have to migrate your shipping settings to the new ones if this wasn’t available before you downgraded. Once you have done this you will be able to update the shipping information yourself.
You can make amendments in your Shipping settings and apply different shipping templates (similar to shipping overrides) to different products.
The templates that are applied to your listings will show in your inventory list then. This is a screenshot of an account that has 3 different templates created and applied to 3 different listings
This seller has free shipping set as standard which is why the migrated template is 0.00. They also have a free shipping template which is applied to the second product.
The third one has dashes as the product was inactive but if the product was active it would show the rate that is being applied to the item from the template.
There is a little learning involved in the new templates but once you get the hang of it you should be OK.
Hopefully someone that has upgraded recently will pop by to add their own experience to this.
I’ll provide a few of the related help pages here for you, I hope you can open them as they are from a professional account:
Migrate to the new shipping settings
Create, edit, or delete shipping templates
Set your delivery rates
I hope this is of some help.
Jess

I am in the same situation - I had been Pro for 10+ years but downgraded about 10 months ago as sales had dropped.
I too am a bookseller and have the same concern about triggering re-verification if and when I do decide to upgrade again - just need the sales to increase ! - but looking very unlikely with the awful search and catalogue corruption.

Does anyone have any experience with this upgrade or any advice on this please? I think I need to decide today as orders have increased so I am financially much better off to upgrade.
I realise all will say “your call” but would appreciate a response from anyone who has recently upgraded after a year or so on the Individual plan,
