How does Amazon calculate advertising fees?

Hey Guys,

I don’t understand every month Amazon seems to charge me more for my advertising than what is stated on my campaign manager.

For example

January 1st - 31st
Campaign manager : £86.09
Cost of advertising (Charged on February 3rd) : £101.80

December 1st - 31st
Campaign manager : £87.11
Cost of advertising (Charged on January 3rd) : £108.40

Is it that they charge VAT on the advertising or something, Little lost hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

Thanks

Yes, VAT is charged on advertising costs. You should be able to view exactly what you’re paying once they generate your invoice. You’ll need to go to Reports (on the left-hand side) > Tax Document Library and the invoice will show as ‘Amazon Marketing Service VAT Invoice’ from Amazon Online UK Limited.
