Why are there other sellers in amazon selling my products?

hi there I am the only authorised distributor and seller of my own films but there are other sellers listing my films who have not asked me permission to sell.
How can this happen in Amazon?

Where are the other sellers obtaining your films from?

PS:

Correction, from the example I looked at, the other sellers don’t physically have any of your stock, they are dropshippers and have duplicated your listing, if they get a sale at the excessive prices, then will order from you for direct delivery to their customer.

Up to you if you want additional sales vis dropship model, or if you think it reflects badly on your brand, then can either ask Amazon to merge the duplicated listing as the same item,

e.g. merge ASIN B01I05WV7Q with the correct listing B00INUO6F4

or, as you own the copyright, issue an infringement notice against the other sellers and Amazon will remove them, or wait until the merge is completed, then issue the IP infringement?

If you wanted to be certain, you could set your price to something more excessive than theirs, then purchase the item from them as a buyer. Would be interesting to see if they purchase the item from you and have it posted to yourself (at significant loss to them), or if they cancel your order to avoid making a loss.

If their prices are high, they will probably buy from you and then sell on to the buyer. This is widespread on Amazon now and it can be very frustrating. I am still waiting to hear from Amazon Australia, where I have applied to be a seller; whilst I wait, somebody is selling our products at extortionate prices on Amazon.com.au, simply because they have no competition. Obviously the problem is, there is virtually no way of finding out who they are amongst the hundreds of customers we have each month.

If their prices are competitive, then as you say they will be pirate copies. In that case I’d buy one from them to see what turns up. if it is a pirate copy, you can get Amazon to chuck them off and also report them to the Police / trading standards, as it is a criminal offence.

Otherwise, as others have stated, just get the listings merged. If they are selling for high prices under different product identifiers, you could also add your own marketplace offer at the correct price, to their listing. I have done that a few times and naturally, it kills their sales stone dead. They usually spot it sooner or later and remove their own offer, at which point you take yours off and the listing disappears.

We have experienced a lot of this, in our case, the sellers are usually in California. They list many 1000’s of items at inflated prices in the hope that someone will buy them and they will then try to order from us. In my experience, if you contact the seller and inform them that if any orders come through that we suspect are from them, we won;t honour the order. They are usually very apologetic and humble and remove the item even though they know what there are doing is wrong although not illegal.

That’s odd, I’ve been refreshing the pages periodically and since about 6 it’s only showing one offer (yours) on each page. Ah well, at least you’re not likely to lose any sales at twice the price now

Dear all, thank you for all your answers and feed back on this issue. It looks to me that Amazon allowing this duplications to continue shows very little care and support to us all honest sellers.
I took this issue with Amazon and their response has been pathetic. We have provided all the information we have about ownership and rights, even a link to our own website so they can verify that the films are all our property (https://www.tvchoice.uk.com) a long list of 69 film titles with the ASIN numbers that have been duplicated, a list of the unauthorised sellers with names and address and their response is the same automated email.

you can see for yourselves bellow
