Account Verification Issues
Although I responded to amazon with a valid US Passport I got the following email:
"
We have reviewed the documents that you provided but were unable to complete your verification process. As a result, we are unable to activate your account.
Why is this happening?
The document that you provided as a proof of identity is not acceptable for the following reason:
It is incomplete or partially cut off. We accept only complete government-issued national photo identity documents that contain the required information and are not cut off on any sides. Passports must include the following information: first and last name, date of birth, unique passport number, expiration date, machine-readable zone, and signature of the bearer.
To learn more about our requirements, go to "Seller Identity Verification":
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/external/QRP483PDN88Q3M9
How do I resolve this situation?
Within the next 30 days, please upload a scanned copy or photo of all the required documents listed on the "Identity Verification" page and make sure that the information that you entered in Seller Central matches the information in the documents.
To submit the required documents or update your information, sign in to Seller Central and follow the on-screen instructions:
https://sellercentral.amazon.com
Do not attach documents to this email. For security reasons, we accept only documents uploaded to the "Identity Verification" page in Seller Central.
What happens if I do not upload the required documents?
If we do not receive the required documents within the next 30 days, your case will be closed and we will not be able to activate your account.
We're here to help

If you took a photo it could have missing edges. If you scanned it it could have a small part not visible.
Best bet is to have it on a white sheet of paper and make sure the ENTIRE page has the white edges surrounding it.
They don't see something that they think they need.

I hope this finds you well! I understand you are attempting to verify your information but the documentation was rejected.

In order to re-verify your information, you will need to navigate to the top righthand corner of Seller Central in order to open the menu under the gear icon. From there, you will need to select your first option, Account Info. Once the next page loads, you should see a number of different options like business address and phone number. At the very top of that page, you will see a banner stating "you currently have limited access to Amazon selling services." Just under those words, there is "Start re-verification." You will click on those words and the portal should load for you to submit your information again.
When submitting this information, please make sure everything is clear and visible for any document or pictures.
If you have any further issues with this, please do not hesitate to update this thread. The forums community and I are here to support you.
All the best,
Stevie
