Zero Ad impressions following 1 day holiday

hi all,

I have not come across this before. Yesterday I put the store onto holiday mode as we were going out for the day. I then activated the store again around 5pm that evening/same day.

I have noticed I now have zero impressions coming through on the ads. Usually around 1 hour after activating the listings after a holiday the ads starting ticking over.

Has anybody else experienced this or any advice. I have tried turning all the ads off and then switching them all back on but I’m still getting zero impressions coming through

Sometimes when you take your listings out of holiday mode it takes a while for things to start working again. Often you just need to wait and it will start working again.

Make sure you have the featured offer on your listings as Ads only run when you have the featured offer so if you have lost it then this could be a reason why.

I would recommend using custom holidays in future, this keeps your listings and ads active. It also allows for sales to occur which you don't need to ship until your break is over. This is ideal for short spells like 1 or 2 days, I have used it lot in the last few months when I have had other family commitments and need to take a day of.

Hello @Seller_q7FbH9ZtV1ReA,

Thank you for posting on forums! I can see that @Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn has already provided some great guidance here, and I'm glad it was helpful.

To add a bit more context, when you take your store off holiday mode, it can sometimes take up to 24 hours for ads to fully resume generating impressions. This is because the system needs to re-index your listings and re-enter them into the ad auction.

As @Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn mentioned, using custom holidays through your shipping settings is a great alternative for short breaks. This keeps your listings active and your ads running, while simply extending your handling time so you don't need to ship during your time off.

If your impressions have not returned after 24 hours, I'd recommend checking the following:

  • Confirm your listings are in "Active" status.
  • Verify your campaigns are enabled and not paused.
  • Ensure your daily budgets have not been exhausted.

If the issue persists beyond 24 hours, please reach out to our Seller Support team so they can investigate further on your account.

Happy selling!

Regards,

Billy

Holiday mode resets your ad delivery algorithm Amazon treats it like a new campaign almost. Give it 24-48 hours to fully recover not just 1 hour. If still zero after 48 hours pause all campaigns for 10 minutes then reactivate.
