Evri charging customs on books
Hi everyone, this is twice that I have sent books to Europe to have them held at Customs for charges (made complicated by the fact that I give Evri my email, not the buyer's email). Royal Mail never does this. Am I just unlucky or does Evri always do this? Thanks

In my experience Evri are not good at handling internationals as I don't think they have their own customs checks unlike Royal Mail, DHL, Fedex, UPS etc.
You're not unlucky, I don't trust them with my international mail either.

Personally I would always use RM for books going overseas. Buy shipping label from the RM website and all the customs stuff is done automatically.
