“Stranded Inventory” on EU FBA
I’ll start by saying we do not use any of the EU fulfilment options and have always closed our listings on EU sites when Amazon have automatically created them when listing new products.
Anyway, I’ve received an email this morning saying that we have stranded inventory for 321 sky’s on Amazon.de that are scheduled to be disposed of in June. I have immediately checked the Amazon.de site and it’s showing all of my listings as ‘active’ but showing ‘qualification needed’ which I presume is because I’ve not completed the steps for the packaging regulations.
On checking the quantities, the ‘stranded inventory’ on .de matches the available inventory on Amazon.co.uk but obviously I’m concerned now that Amazon are going to dispose of the UK stock.
Any suggestions as to why .de is showing my UK stock as stranded? Should I try closing all the listings again and see if that fixes the issue?
You’ve gotta love Amazon right?

if you don’t sell at all in EU make sure -
your FBA settings are set to disabled for Pan Eu, EFN and export
Disable Build International Listings
and delete your inventory in de - not close (disable BIL first though so that it doesn’t delete UK too)

We have received the same email.
Apparently have inventory stuck in FR yet we have nothing enabled as far as I can tell.
The_Little_Shop - can you link to some articles or verbosely state how to check and do what you recommend please? I am finding Amazon to be an absolute nightmare these days.
In the meantime, I will try to find those settings and double check but you may recall I asked this only a month or so ago and you kindly responded and I checked and found everything in order but I am going to check again.
In my case, it states “Inventory Error”. I take that to mean that Amazon have in error shipped our inventory to an EU Fulfilment Centre.!
