Read onlyJust received the following email. Does this now mean everything has to be sent with tracking? It seems very vague as it states "we will update the Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) policy for seller-fulfilled orders to allow customers to see tracking over a higher number of their orders" and I cannot find any updates in the "Changes to programme policies" section that the email refers you to. We use letter postage purchased through Amazon buy shipping since all our items are low value. Will this still be exempt from VTR?
Hello,
Starting on January 15, 2025, we will update the Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) policy for seller-fulfilled orders to allow customers to see tracking over a higher number of their orders.
As a reminder, you are required to maintain a minimum of 95% VTR at a category level. Providing tracking information improves the customer experience and reduces the likelihood of negative feedback. This information also helps protect your account health metrics and is taken into consideration in addressing A-to-z Guarantee claims.
For more information, please go to Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) FAQ. This VTR policy update is also reflected in Changes to programme policies.

I read it as nothing had changed if you are using a carrier who's tracking is trackable by Amazon already; so buying through Amazon stays the same for VTR purposes.
It's those using carriers that Amazon can't track that will have to change.
The only problem I see for myself are very local orders that I would deliver by hand; will they now have to be posted?
I was thinking the exact same thing...
We ship a lot of orders to the EU from the UK and are wondering if everything now has too be tracked from January the 15th?
We send all domestic orders through SFP so no change there.Iits just the shipments from UK -> EU I am a bit confused about...
"Hello,Starting January 15, 2025, we will update the Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) policy for seller-fulfilled orders to allow customers to see tracking over a higher number of their orders. All domestic shipments above 15€ will be included in the VTR calculations. VTR will be measured on orders shipped through all shipping service providers and will no longer be limited to those that are integrated with Amazon to provide scan information. All cross-border shipments to and from the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Austria, or Sweden will be included in VTR calculation, unless the order value is below €20 (including shipping, excluding VAT) and a ‘letter’ ship method was used.As a reminder, you are required to maintain a minimum of 95% VTR at a category level. I would think not, I would suggest everthing would need to be sent on a tracked service even if bought through amazon buy shipping
It would certainly be possible to read 'VTR will be measured on orders shipped through all shipping service providers and will no longer be limited to those that are integrated with Amazon to provide scan information' as the percentage will be calcuated on ALL orders, though the email is vague to the point of uselessness and as you say, neither of the supplied links have actually been updated.
Why amazon persist with this approach is beyond me.
@Seller_JLsqaOw9gpZwj and @Seller_lnDDxVUakxGi5 - fingers crossed we get some clarification soon...we can't even assess the damage without knowing what it is we will need to do 🤣
