Running both Prime Exclusive Discount & Lightning Deal on Prime Day

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can provide insight on this.

We had set up both Lightning Deals and Prime Exclusive Discounts on the same SKUs, to run during Prime Day.

It seems from this FAQ that it’s okay:

One of my products in a Prime Exclusive Discount is in an overlapping Lightning Deal for only 4 hours. Will the discount on my product get suppressed for those 4 hours only?

The discount on the product will get suppressed 2 hours before the start of the Lightning Deals. It can take up to one hour after the Lightning Deal ends for the product to be reactivated. Please note that running a Prime Exclusive Discount will impact the maximum Deal Price of Lightning Deals for a product.

However, I’m wondering exactly what the last sentence means about impacting the maximum Deal Price. If our Prime Exclusive Discount is set to £100, for example, and then our Lightning Deal is set to £95, will that be okay, or does the discount of the lightning deal need to be a certain percentage less than the Prime Exclusive Discount?

At the moment it seems to have accepted all our pricing, though wondering if the Lightning deal might suddenly get cancelled on Prime Day, which is obviously something we want to avoid.

Thank you!

Anyone have any insight on this?

(Bumping up because may have gotten missed since was posted at night.)

Thank you!

Is it because both offers are combined so in your example £95 from £100 would be not enough discount for a lightning deal so it could get cancelled even if the start price was £150 (for example)
