Amazon Lending - Will they renegotiate?

Evening all,

So, we have an Amazon lending loan at present and while we are just about managing to make the repayments, it is taking its toll on the business what with everything thats going up in price topped with people not buying because they can’t afford to.

I was wondering whether anyone had ever managed to renegotiate their monthly payments to Amazon lending to reduce the amount Amazon want each month.

I’m mulling things over, and I’m tempted to just leave things as they are for the remaining 6 months of the loan but need to look at what options are available.

Hi, I don’t know if they will re-negotiate but you can change the payments to every 2 weeks, rather that monthly. We are doing that and the 2 weekly payment is more manageable, even though monthly it amounts to the same…
I hope that helps.

They won’t renegotiate as such, but they will offer a longer term extension.
Essentially, they offer a new loan and change the schedule.

Though do be prepared for a slow process.

I’ve tried asking for that but can’t get anywhere. They ring me from an American number and there’s never anyone there when I answer then they email and say give us a phone number to ring and it goes round in circles

Thanks for the thoughts.

I have reached out to Amazon Lending today to see what they say, although as above, I am expecting them to take forever to respond (if at all).

I have been worried about contacting them as I didn’t want it to affect us being offered a loan in the future but I’m at the point now where I’d rather just not have the loan so if we never get offered one again, I don’t really care.

@lumen Just as a follow up, I ended up raising a case with the MD this morning after 7 unanswered cases over the last 4 months. Just been offered a restructure back over 12 months to cut the payments down… result, finally!

My very first response was a dismissal as well so hopefully (eventually) they will sort things out for you as well

I might have spoken too soon as they haven’t actually opened up the option to change the loan yet lol

Ended up emailing the MD’s email and just had a reply saying they’ve forwarded it to the relevant department so more waiting. Thanks Amazon haha.

Just a quick update. I had a phone call from someone from Amazon Lending at 5:30(ish) and although I could barely understand a word she said, in there somewhere was an offer to restructure my loan. She said she’d send me a loan invite and I’d have a month to decide.

I’ve not had the invite yet but I’ll keep you guys posted when I get it.

Another update: I had another phone call today from a lady claiming to be a supervisor at Amazon Lending. She asked for a reason why we need to lower our payments. She gave me two options, first was lower payments this month and next or second option was to refinance the loan over 12 months. I’m now waiting for the refinance offer to show.

Just a note to anyone else struggling, please do reach out to Amazon Lending. I was worried about doing so and I guess worried about admitting we are struggling but once you actually get to talk to someone, they are definitely understanding of the current climate and are there to help.
