handmade reclassification

I'm a UK handmade seller, I primarily sell personalised greeting cards. I keep downloading my category listing spreadsheet every week or so as requested, and I'm still on 'GUILD_HOME'. Nothing seems to have changed. Have any UK handmade sellers had anything happen to their listings yet?

Am a bit concerned, as we're coming to Christmas, and obviously, I want to make sure I've got everything right in time to maximise sales.

I'm in a similar situation, but I've also noticed that over the past few weeks I've lost the ability to create A+ content or request Vine reviews. I used to be able to do this from when I received the Brand Registry Waiver for Handmade sellers back in 2022. I'm not sure if it's the reclassification that's caused that?

contacted support last night for clarification and here is their reply... "Amazon Handmade is currently implementing a catalog-wide update to standardize all product types (PTs). Here are the key points about this transition:

Timeline:

-The reclassification process is taking place from August through October 2025

-All catalog updates will be completed by the end of 2025

Process:

-This is an automated system-wide update

-All products will be automatically moved to standard product types

-You will receive an email notification once your catalog has been reclassified

Please note Selling Partner Support cannot manually move products to new classifications. The transition will maintain all your product information while updating to the new standard format

We understand your concern about the timeline, and we want to assure you that this process is being managed systematically to ensure a smooth transition for all Handmade sellers. Once your inventory has been updated, you will receive a notification email confirming the completion of the reclassification.

Please continue to manage your listings as usual during this transition period.

If you have any additional questions after receiving your reclassification notification, please don't hesitate to contact us. "

so although they still say end of october, they also say the whole process is until the end of the year...so I suspect it may be running late? Hang tight and wait for that email as before.

Likewise. I keep checking my listings and so far no change that I can see. Please can anyone who is seeing a change let us know if you get any notification or just have to keep checking?

Or is there anything we can do to manually speed up the process without re-creating our whole inventory???

Reassuring to hear I'm not alone here :) Thank you!

Yep, I'm in the same boat. My listings are still categorised as GUILD, so I'm getting very concerned about how this will impact sales.

@Seller_oSsAF8rP2fbZfI've also been having problems with using my own brand name. Like you I received a Brand Registry Waiver in 2022, but now I can't add new products under my brand name.

Received an email today: "Hello, Your Handmade products listed exclusively in the Amazon.com store have been reclassified from general “GUILD” types to specific product types (such as SANDALS or NECKLACE). You can identify reclassified products by downloading your Category Listings Report and searching for product types that no longer show GUILD and Handmade classifications showing as “unclassified”. Once your products have been reclassified, you’ll need to take action to verify the reclassification and ensure that your listings remain visible to customers. We’ll send an email once the reclassification of all Handmade products is complete globally. Please note that if you have other listings, we are continuing to move through our catalogue and will complete this reclassification process by March 31, 2026."

Downloaded Category Listing Report to find out that all of our listings (2000 of them) have still GUILD_HOME in Product Type. However, on Amazon Marketplace they are all over the categories, all of them are incorrect and we still don't have a power to amend it.

The busiest time of the year and we are nowhere near what we had previous years. Another way of Amazon destroying small businesses.
