Is openly selling with damaged packaging a good idea on Amazon?

Hi folks. I’ve some Lego sets (new and sealed but where packaging is bit creased). I was planning on selling them as new (because they are) but at a discounted price and note explaining that the box is creased…however, if the customer doesn’t read the notes and gives me a poor rating because of the damage would I have any comeback to get the rating removed? For me getting poor feedback is not worth the risk if there is a risk…but I don’t know if there is a risk.

You can’t write condition notes for a new item.

In addition to being unable to add condition notes, the guidelines for new toys are that they should be “a brand-new, unused, unopened toy, in perfect condition”.

Assuming you have bought those Lego sets from a recognised supplier and not from a retailer, you’re probably asking for trouble selling them as being new. If they were bought from retail then they aren’t new anyway.

yes, you’re asking for trouble

If you only have a few, it would be less hassle to sell them on other well known marketplaces

You can sell them as ‘collectable’ with a condition note and some photos of the box condition. This is how I sell on curtomer returns with minor box damage. If they have been opened I would list them as ‘used’.
