Vacation Mode - Listings visible or not
When you put your account on vacation mode, are your listings still visible to customers or not.
I have found 2 resources with conflicting information.
One says: "When you go on vacation, you can pause your listings so customers can't place an order until you come back. Customers will still be able to view your listings."
The 2nd says: "If you can’t fulfill orders for any reason (family emergency, inclement weather, going on holiday or vacation, etc.), you can change your Listings Status to Inactive. This will remove your self-fulfilled listings from Amazon product detail pages and search results within one hour. When you are ready to sell again, you can change the status of your listings back to Active."
Are these 2 statements talking about the same process of Vacation Mode?
I do understand Vacation Mode only affects FBM orders, which is what we want.
Does Vacation Mode have any negative affects for listings when you come back?
Thank you in advance.

Vacation mode removes your offers for fulfilled-by-merchant listings.
Vacation mode does not affect FBA offers.
As for negative effects -- opinions differ.

Thanks for your reply. So the listings (FBM) are not visible to customers even though Amazon says "Customers will still be able to view your listings."?
Do you have opinions about negative effects?

This help page: Listing status for vacations, holidays, and other absences, has a ton of good information on the topic!
