PLEASE HELP! Cannot create Shipping Plan due to "Product details missing essential information."

Hey everyone,

I am having a nightmare with trying to create my shipping plan. I have a parent product with six variations (six different colours). When I attempt to create the shipping plan for the variations, it comes up with the error provided in the screenshot. When I click on the edit tab, there are no red warnings, all information is complete (including title etc)40 . I cannot seem to find a solution for this no matter how far I look. My product is for Amazon UK and I am not selling to any other destination.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!

I believe the issue was linked to the brand name and the title. In the title I put my brand name in all-caps (Title: BRAND NAME product details). All-caps is not permitted in amazon product titles. After attempting to change the title for the variations, it still would not update after multiple attempts (I believe amazon had removed the listing and hence it could only be fixed from their end potentially). For a quicker fix I deleted the product and relisted it without the all-caps and so far so good!

Hi it sounds like either there is a variation issue or add has not been approved.

Go back to your listing and click edit, within this it is likely to be highlighting were the issue is.

Hi,

First try to copy the ASIN and list it as FBM to see how it behaves and if you can find it properly.

Sometimes some parameters do not highlight but they are necessary. If you entered colour you need to put colour map as well, the size and size map. Check if you don’t have brand names in your search terms as well as it can stall it.

Pictures can take a while to show up, but not more than 24 hours.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I ended up deleting and re-adding the product and the previous error has disappeared. I have since been trying to get the variation photos to appear in the inventory listing but they still aren’t appearing, hoping that after 24h they will show up. Thanks again everyone!

I have got this in the past when a listing has been flagged as a “Suspected Intellectual Property Rights Violation”. For example, if your product uses a protected brand in it’s title. For example, I sell replacement straps for the Fitbit Charge 2 tracker watch. I get the above error if my title makes it SOUND like the straps are Fitbit straps. They are not, they are my own brand. So I have to rephrase my title to say something like “Replacement Strap for the Fitbit Charge 2” and not something like “Fitbit Charge 2 Replacement Strap”.

See what I’m getting at?

Could also be that if you’ve put a specific brand name into the title or as the title, and they don’t believe that it is authentic. If that’s the case, you have to send them proof that the product is legitimate, often with a link to the product on the manufacturer’s (or brand’s) website.

Hope that helps.
