Trying to list my CBD brand with no luck
Hi,
Hope everyones doing well.
I am trying to open my shop on Amazon with my premium CBD oil called PalmateCBD however there has been no luck. My listing got removed in 2 days for i got the notice that
“oils that contain CBD or other cannabinoids are prohibited on Amazon, except for sellers participating in a limited, invite-only pilot. This pilot only applies to products listed on Amazon.co.uk and is not available on other Amazon websites. The pilot is not accepting additional sellers currently.”
There are hundreds of sellers that are selling CBD oil on amazon.co.uk so it has got me wondering on how i can solve this issue. My product is fully compliant with UK rules and regulation.
Any help would be appreciated.

Two possible reasons
- The other sellers are listing the items incorrectly and are not part of the trial. Amazon have not yet found and removed the products. If this is the case Amazon are likely to find and remove them and issue Restricted Products warnings to these sellers
- The other sellers are participating in the trial. Whilst they say it is a limited trial they don’t say how many sellers are on it.
The
You can’t but would look out for Amazon notices which give updates on the status of listing CBD oil products. If there is a trial then this may be opened up to more sellers or they may stop the trial and allow any seller to list who has the appropriate documentation.
I wouldn’t list the items again as you already have a warning for listing the item. Continuing to list the items could put your account at risk.

It is exactly what the email explains. No new sellers are allowed to sell CBD products on Amazon right now. There is nothing you can do from your side to change that unfortunately.

Are you sure about that?
I had a quick scroll through the CBD oils available and I could see only a handful of sellers other than Amazon itself.
I have actually been interested in buying some for a relative with bad arthritis but from what I’ve read, CBD is largely unproven and most likely useless in non-prescription strengths.

There was something about CBD products in the news recently. There has been a change to regulation since 31/3/22 where only CBD products on an FSA pre-approved list are allowed to be sold in the UK.

Also, CBD is illegal in the UK - speak to trading standards. It is a novel food, and they are going to start cracking down on it.
