Help! I am unable to update my Product Listing

Hello,

I am a new seller. I am a publisher selling a book. I have been trying to find a way to update my product listing details for the last 10 days but nothing I do seems to work. I have raised 8 cases with Amazon support, but every time they respond with scripted responses that make so sense and close the case as “answered” before checking my issue is resolved. I am so frustrated.

So, the last advice I got from “support” was …
"Your listing is not currently assigned to a product category. Therefore, it is not searchable on Amazon. To update your category, complete these steps.
Use the following link to open up your Manage Inventory page:

  1. On the Manage Inventory page, click on Edit next to the product you want to fix.
  2. Select “Vital Info” and fill in the required information in “Recommended Browse Nodes/Item Type Keyword”
    If not found:
  • Toggle the “Advanced View” to on
  • Fill in the needed information in “Recommended Browse Nodes/Item Type Keyword”"

However, when I go to the Manage Inventory page and click edit, there is no attribute for “Recommended Browse Nodes/Item Type Keyword” and I can’t see anywhere to toggle to an Advanced View. Also I can’t even find a list of Recommended Browse Nodes/Item Type Keyword values, so I can’t tell “Support” what they need to update. They won’t tell me where to find these things, so I’m hoping someone here knows.

Please help. I’m losing my mind.
Thanks,
Jonathan

What are you trying to update within the listing?

I ask because I was helping someone deal with something similar and what they needed to do was update the information that Nielsen had assigned to their ISBN. Updating their own listing didn’t change the information on the product page until they’d done that.
