KYC Verification / 41 days of Deactivation even if been verified - Letter Before Action to AMAZON
It is my 4th year on Amazon. On the 5th of November, my account was deactivated and KYC – account verification – documents were asked for.
I provided them immediately, and the next morning I received confirmation that the verification was completed. However, my account has still been deactivated.
Since the verification approval, I have received no additional document request or notification explaining why the account remains closed. I do not know how many times I called the account health, or texted on the help button for the solution, or manually verification...
We are currently in the peak season, including Black Friday and holiday sales. I have already prepared and invested in a large inventory, but I am unable to list or sell any products due to the unexplained delay. Additionally, my inventory has been deleted by you after the 30th of deactivation, and I still pay a huge fund for FBA inventory storage fee. I cannot explain the psychological stress and financial burden I have now. Yes, I have bankruptcy...
I have no option, I am going to send a letter before action to Amazon UK. Do you have similar issue? Have you send this letter before starting the legal action? What kind of answer did you receive? I would like to hear your experience.
Kind regards

You have not tagged the Mods correctly as they are not showing in blue therefore wont be seen.
The KYC verification seems to be unfit for purpose but nothing can be done about that, What action are you thinking of taking other than removing your stock. As you will still need to complete the virification before you are able to do that.

When you tag mods you need to start typing the name then select from the dropdown so highlighted in blue.

Hello ZENN_CLUB2,
This is Zyan from Amazon, and I am here to assist you.
I understand your account was deactivated on November 5, 2025 for KYC verification. You provided the requested documents immediately, and the next morning you received confirmation that the verification was completed. However, your account remains deactivated with no explanation, your inventory has been deleted after 30 days of deactivation, and you are still paying FBA storage fees for remaining inventory during peak season.
I want to educate you on an important point: whenever the documents are accepted and your identity is verified, and you are notified that the information is verified, that means your account will be activated. If your account remains deactivated despite receiving verification confirmation, there may be an additional issue or technical delay that requires investigation.
I also want to educate you that if the account is still deactivated, you will receive a notification regarding why the account was deactivated and what are the next steps that you can do to activate the account. Please check your Performance Notification on the Account Health page in Seller Central to see if there are any additional requirements or reasons why the account remains deactivated despite the verification being completed.
Regarding your FBA inventory and storage fees, I recommend you create a case with the Seller Partner Support (SPS) team by selecting the Help option from the top right corner of Seller Central. In your case, explain the situation about your deleted inventory and the storage fees you are still being charged. The SPS team will investigate and help you resolve the inventory and billing issues.
I understand the financial and stress you are experiencing during this peak season. Please create the case with SPS team immediately to address the FBA inventory and storage fee concerns, and check your Performance Notification for any additional account requirements.
Regards,
Zyan

Hello,
This is Zyan from Amazon, and I am here to assist you.
I understand your account was deactivated on November 5, 2025 for KYC verification. You provided documents immediately and received verification confirmation on November 6, 2025. However, your account remained deactivated with no additional notifications or document requests shown on your Account Health page for over 60 days, which was confirmed by Account Health representatives during multiple phone calls. Amazon only requested further documentation on January 6, 2026.
I sincerely apologize for this delay and acknowledge the severe impact this has had on your business during peak season. Your proactive monitoring throughout this period demonstrates your commitment to resolving this situation.
Since you submitted the requested documents on January 6, 2026, the verification team is currently reviewing them. You will receive an update via Performance Notification once the review is complete.
The community and I are here to support you.
Regards,
Zyan
