Counterfeit Sellers on Amazon.co.uk - Are you affected?

We have noticed a number of foreign (Turkish) seller accounts selling counterfeit goods on Amazon since last August selling within our industry. Despite having fake VAT numbers they are passing Amazons KYC and despite informing Amazon of the problem on numerous occasions nothing ever gets done about them. In fact, its getting worse. We have conducted numerous test purchases and all orders have resulted in counterfiet goods. Unbelieveably the criminal gangs are using Amazon FBA so Amazon themselves could, if they wanted to, do something about it but they don't. Instead Amazon removes the listings, not the sellers, further damaging our business.

Is anyone else having this issue? To what extent is your industry affected? Have you had any luck in removing the sellers or do more just start up under a new different company name? Is anyone from Amazon out there who cares? We are getting nowhere with Amazon support, their Anti Counterfeit Centre, the brands they are copying etc. Essentially Amazon are facilitating fraud by not undertaking KYC before accounts go live!
