Large Reimbursement

I was updating my insurance policy and the insurance agent asked me a good question that I have not thought about before.

"What if an Amazon warehouse has a large fire or something happens at one of their warehouses and a large amount of your invenotry is damaged? Does Amazon cover that for you?"

I know that Amazon does small reimbursements like a couple units if they get damaged. But like what if an Amazone warehouse has a large fire, or just some event happens to where thousands of dollars worth of inventory is damaged and not sellable. Does Amazon still cover those events? My insurer stated it would not to possible to get insurance on the inventory that is in Amazon's warehouses since I am no longer in control of it and since there are so many locations it would be hard to get that many locations on an insurance policy.

Hope anyone can help answer this for me. Thanks

That doesn't make sense. You own the inventory, so if you are paying for insurance, it should cover it. But does Amazon have any culpability, not sure.

I'm pretty sure this is why Amazon requires sellers who have $10k in inventory at FBA to have insurance.
