FBM to FBA - How to switch without losing sales?
I want to switch from FBM to FBA but don’t want to lose sales whilst waiting for stock to arrive at Amazon.
I’ve contacted support but they said there is no way to do this, its either one or the other.
I thought of switching it to FBA, replenishing inventory, and then switching it back FBM, but don’t know if this will work and am petrified of doing anything in seller central in case it gets the account suspended.
Does anybody know if there is a way to switch this without losing sales inbetween?
Thanks in advance
David

If this is an ad for an fba offer, you won’t be able to advertise until your stock is received and on sale

Have two separate SKUs. One for FBA, one FBM

You can go to the asin and on the right hand side click on add another condition which creates a new sku on the same asin which you can set to fba
Therefore you have an fbm and an fba offer on the same asin

You can add another condition and sell both FBA and FBM at the same time.
Or if you don’t want both switch it to FBA to create the shipment, then switch it back to FBM until it is received and goes into stranded, at the stranded stage you could switch back to FBA and it will become unstranded. To be honest though 2 skus is easier.

Just checking you have been approved for fba as I believe there are extra hoops to jump through for alcohol including your premises licensing, DPS and vat etc
Edit - there is no vat number showing on your seller profile

Hi, Yes we are approved for alcohol sales.
Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated. I’ll give this a go.
