I hear you, it's the same every year surely literally everyone knows this but these companies have focussed so much on fast shipping it has caused so many issues ! People just used to patiently wait for their item to arrive!

Can you believe my store is actually at risk because 1 order arrived late - an order I posted on time, right at the busiest week of the year because that's when the customer chose to order it, the advisor kept telling me it was my responsibility to ship on time ( which I had) and to keep in touch with my shipping company and that I should have known this order was going to arrive late and that I should have intervened... I don't have a personal delivery driver?!

Not sure they know how 2nd class post works in this country- you buy the label, stick it on and post it... do they really think RM want to speak to me about the late arrival of an £11 order? How can I control the fact that they are not scanning anything until delivery or that there was a whole week where the item was awol between here and Scotland... Also, unlike Etsy, Amazon do not display the label tracking number, there is a dash, so to see the status I have to pretend I am reprinting the label, cancel that, enlarge the page so I can copy and paste the tiny label number, then go to the RM site paste it in and track the item...they are not scanning anything until the last stage- delivery!

Good luck, I hope you don't have any more bad feedbacks about things completely beyond your control :/

This year, particularly the week after Black Friday, has been painful.

Many items are delayed by Royal Mail. I have had feedback from customers that some of my items are taking 12-14 days to deliver.

I have had a few A-Z's and a negative feedback due to the backlogs they are experiencing.

Amazon don't care though they just want you to deliver on the date promised, if not A-Z's and negative feedback are allowed and you will be penalised.

The only advice Amazon are likely to give you is to reach out to Royal Mail and talk to them about the issue so they can resolve it. Which we all know is a total waste of time!

Lets be brutally honest about this. It's got nothing to do with the slowness of the post, as some Amazon customers know the can raise an issue and they'll get both item and their money back and Amazon will aid and abet this process.

According to RM it's a 2 to 3 working day service not 48hr.

Perhaps it is about time the regulator, rather than handing out a fine to Royal Mail, which seems to do nothing, instead, told Royal Mail that all Tracked 24/48 parcels delivered late by more than 1 day, must have an automatic 25% refund, doubling to 50% off if 2 days late, and if more than 3 days late a full refund. That way RM may alter procedures. For the lower cost 1st/2nd class, CRL, then maybe 10% to 30% off if more than 2 to 5 days late.

Perhaps also, they should stop consumer parcels going into their system if they cannot cope. Or, accept them, but let the customer know it will be held until they can cope again, therefore not a guaranteed delivery unless upgraded to Tracked 24, Special Delivery, etc. Most are not in a rush and may accept the lower cost, for a longer parcel delivery time.

For domestic consumers, then they would need to raise a claim for the same delays, but Account Customers could have that automated according to Tracking dates.

It would make people choose Tracked 48/24 more, and hopefully make deliveries on time
