Wildly inaccurate delivery estimates on all my products

Hi Guys,

I appreciate this subject has been broached before but the last mention was a while ago and was never really resolved? Im hoping someone has found a solution.

I noticed today that all of my listings have an estimated delivery time of nearly 7-10 days.
We are based in the UK ship only to the UK.
We ship same day and only using 2 services - Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail 48
for next day delivery we also use Royal Mail Tracked 24

So really nothing we ship should ever take more than 4 days if a weekend falls in between.

I have checked:

  • Handling Time in the settings (it is set to 1 day)
  • I have also gone through some 700 of our listings to check handling time per ASIN and have confirmed this data is also set correctly.
Our services are integrated through Royal Mail OBA Amazon.
I’m at a loss. I have contacted and reopened the case 11 times now today alone.
Each time I get a different rep who doesn’t read anything I have written and tells me the same thing over and over and it is laughable. Not only that they tell you what they want to say and mark the case as resolved.

I have tried creating a whole new shipping template. They immediately force you to use the Amazon integrated system and then it pops the delivery times to insanity again.

I have also tried a shipping template and unticked the amazon integrated new system. It still leads me to the same results.

Data from Delivery Analytics on amazon can confirm that my shipping is nowhere near their estimates

The last message I received from seller support now is that this is because Amazon themselves calculate from postcode to postcode and they have decided that from Preston (near Manchester) it is not possible to deliver next day to London? Regardless of the fact that we deliver on time 99.7% ?

Im so confused and stressed is there anyone out there who has any advice on how I can fix this?
Is the general consensus that Royal Mail are just not trustworthy anymore?
What is the fastest “Amazon Accepted” service I can use? I bet its amazon shipping…

This unfortunately is a well reported issue whereby amazon extend delivery dates based on royal mail depots
If you check the RM service updates page you may see Preston and London offices on there frequently

ie today, Croydon is on there for movement of mail and many more with delivery issues

This has just happened to me also resulting in huge drop off in my Buy Box and orders. Im not even sure this has anything to do with local depots as one of my rivals is based 2 miles away, We ship using the same Royal Mail 24 and 1 working day handling yet they are showing as delivering 2-5 days and im 5-10 days. So confused as all my delivery and dispatch results are above 98.5%

My Delivery times make a mockery of Amazon deciding to increase my shipping as well. Last 24 hours zero sales. Used to have 30-50 per day this time of year. Very worried right now and Amazon arent bothered. You’d think they need us all to be selling lots of products and paying them fees?

My delivery estimates have switched back to 1-3 days like they used to be today and sales have gone through the roof. Ive changed nothing so its purely Amazons automated system that decides these things

My delivery estimates went back to what they used to be on Friday last week but have now been extended again.
