Products that are not certified for SIOC (Ships in Own Container) arrive without shipping carton
Hello,
I got this warning today from Amazon about my FBA shipments:
Products that are not certified for SIOC (Ships in Own Container) arrive without shipping carton
They sent me a picture of the box i sent my FBA products in. It’s a re-used box.
Now I’m just not 100% sure what Amazon is warning me about. It could be that the box has some prints on it (it’s a re-used packing box) words, barcode etc. This i can understand.
But the actual warning says “Products that are not certified for SIOC (Ships in Own Container) arrive without shipping carton”
Which doesn’t really explain much at all
Can anyone explain this to me in words I can understand?
Thanks

That would be a big worry, since they may have scanned the barcode and assumed the contents of the box were whatever the barcode on the box related to instead of unpacking it and scanning your enclosed packages.
There was an instance a while back of a seller who reused a crisp box, or something similar, and because there was an expiry date on it [which had passed] his goods were marked unfulfillable!
Were your goods actually checkied in OK and all present and correct?

You have to remember Amazon staff aren’t paid to think. And if they arrive in the job having that ability, it is removed during the ‘training’ process. All thinking at Amazon is done by AI.
