Issue with VAT Number for the Company Registered in Germany
My own company is registered in German, it has its own HRB number and consequently VAT number. In the same time, I'm a citizen of the country outside of EU. When I tried to submit my company's VAT number to the Amazon it claims that I could not submit this information. It says that my personal ID (Which is different from the German ID number) number is INVALID.
How can I resolve this problem?

the company name and address stored in Seller Central must match the data from the uploaded German VAT identification number or European VAT registration number used for OSS. In addition, the German VAT identification provided by sellers also need to match name and address stored by the German Federal Tax Authority.
As you say, the ID you provided is different from the German ID number, it is probably the reason why you got an error message.
