New listings not showing in inventory

I listed two brand new products yesterday afternoon. They didn’t show up within minutes like they usually do.

Nearly 24 hours later and they still haven’t shown up. Not just inactive, not supressed, they are not showing in inventory at all.

Is it just me?

I think the EAN numbers I bought 6 years ago have expired. I’ve signed up with GS1 today but I am struggling.

GS1 is offering me GTIN-13 or GLN. Amazon doesn’t have the option for GLN and it’s not accepting the GTIN-13 code in the GTIN box.

The value specified for the field is lesser than the minimum allowed value.

I just called GS1 support and apparently you put their GTIN-13 number in the EAN box. Clear as mug :joy:

Sorted, thanks Tracey!

I have repeatedly been having this problem with listings on Amazon in the books category ever since it redesigned the listings pages.

Listing new items was really simple but is now impossible.

Like you, my new listings went straight to ‘Drafts’ and I got the same messages.

At first I was told that it was because I hadn’t entered a language, but no matter how many times I entered ‘English’ it made no difference whatsoever.

Then I was told that it was because I hadn’t created an SKU number, but before the changes, Amazon automatically created the SKU number if the seller didn’t enter one.

Personally I haven’t been able to create a new listing for four weeks, and Seller Support is totally useless. Talking to a brick wall is more rewarding that trying to communicate with Seller Support.

They refuse to admit that Amazon is at fault, and simply keep repeating advice which I have already proved to them doesn’t work.

I hope you have better luck in sorting this out.
