Any advice or things to avoid for new amazon wholesale resellers?
It seems the jungle of amazon can be quite treacherous from what I’m now discovering.
I am a new seller and doing amazon wholesale. (Basically reselling brand products).
Do any of you have some advice for a newbie?
Or things to watch out for/avoid?

Newbie-looks like you’ve been here since 2019?
Stop! Go to Seller University now! Do you even have brand authorization or LOA’s to sell their products?!?

That is not what Wholesale is. Wholesale is selling to other resellers.
It sounds like what you are doing is being a retailer or dealer.
Unless you are doing arbitrage, but your post suggests you are not, or at least don’t realize that you are. If anyone you are buying from is adding tax to the order, you are definitely doing arbitrage and that would likely not be good.
Are you stocking and shipping the items? The biggest pitfall is sellers that have another party sending their orders for them. That is how most sellers seem to be getting suspended right now.

As @ImageAbility has stated, Amazon does not provide warehouse space to its sellers, they are fulfillment centers and the merchandise sent to them must be fast turning.
Most fast turning, major brand products are being sold by manufacturer direct large volume sellers who are paying less than you can pay buying from wholesalers in small volumes.
Once your product is in an Amazon fulfillment center it is out of your control and you will experience additional costs and risks on your mistakes.
The US market is like no other. What may sell in other countries can be a loser in the US.
It will cost you more money for all of your mistakes. Storage fees, long term storage fees and product disposal costs are just a few examples. But attempts to salvage a bad product choice can cost you price cuts, and advertising fees.
The tools offered sellers by consulting companies serve to drive the profits out of products for everyone who sells them.
The structure of the site benefits the first to offer the product over latecomers.
There are better ways for many people to make money, and maintain their control of their investment than being the absentee owner of a business in a foreign land.
