Reschedule delivery FBA inbound Coventry

Hi,

I have shipped an inbound parcel to Amazon Coventry warehouse but when looking at the tracking, it says the following. What does that means? Could it mean (like I’ve heard from some of you) that the warehouse has too much to deal with at the moment so they are rescheduling delivery?

If there is currently an issue at Coventry is there anyway of changing the destination. I am at the prepare shipment stage prior to paying for the shipping

I get this with nearly all send via UPS to FBA. My understanding is couriers have ‘slots’ they have to use at Amazon warehouses, so this often means rescheduling. Mine normally then get delivered within 48 hours after the due date.

Couriers cannot simply turn up and deliver to Amazon in the normal way like any other business, they arrived at a preset time which is unlikely to be the same as your normal estimated delivery.

Yes, when busy Amazon will sometimes delay the delivery. Usually it would only be for a few days, but at the height of Covid it could take a few weeks. Nothing really to be alarmed about.

Amazon will always the pick the destination based on a range of factors, including business and customer demand. Although you can’t directly pick a different location you can “force” a new choice by changing the shipment so that Amazon makes a new choice - though you might get the same FC repeatedly. Some products I believe can only go to a limited number of FCs so in those cases not much can be done.

That is great - I was just a little worried as this is the first time I see this type of message and thought Amazon would be receiving parcels all hours of the day at their warehouses haha!

My 2 boxes were showing rescheduled yesterday, and midnight they were checked in and available. I have also had them sat in this status for 2 weeks previously
