Unable to edit EU listings auto-created from UK

Hi Amazon Community Managers,

@KJ_Amazon@Michelle_Amazon@Spencer_Amazon@Julia_Amzn@Indy_Amazon@Ange_Amazon@Danny_Amazon@Sandy_Amazon

I'd appreciate your help resolving an issue that has dragged on for over two weeks across multiple Seller Support teams without resolution.

Background

I'm a Brand Owner selling via FBA UK with Remote Fulfilment to the EU (no FBM). When I first created my UK listings and sent stock to UK FBA, listings were automatically replicated to eligible EU marketplaces, with English copied from the UK listing and auto-translations generated for local languages. That part worked as expected.

The problem

A year later, I updated the text fields (title, bullets, description, keywords) on the UK listing. None of these changes cascaded to the EU marketplaces, even though I have never manually touched the EU listings.

What's happened so far

1. Ticket 12429186442 (UK Seller Support): I was told to contact each EU country's local Seller Support individually — contradicting previous guidance that UK Support handles this. Escalation declined to help further.

2. Ticket 12441793322 (DE Seller Support): After 10+ emails, I've received conflicting answers:

  • Initially told to edit the listing myself, then told listings cannot be updated after initial setup.
  • Told the German auto-translation from the UK English is poor quality, but that their team cannot edit it. I was asked to provide corrected values in Excel, which I did — only to be told nothing can be done.
  • Told I could use inventory file upload for both languages, then told this wouldn't work either.
  • Separately, when a customer on Amazon.de toggles the language to English, the listing still shows the oldEnglish text that was never refreshed from the updated UK listing.

What I need

Two straightforward answers:

1. How do I edit the local-language text on an EU listing that was auto-created from my UK listing?

  • Correcting poor auto-translations
  • Adding local-language text where no translation was generated

2. How do I update the English text shown on EU marketplaces via the language toggle, so it reflects the current UK listing?

Editing a listing is basic functionality and shouldn't require separate tickets in every marketplace. Could someone please take ownership of this and provide a clear, definitive answer?

Kind Regards

thanks Amy, raised ticket with Brand Registry, ticket id 20095843681

Seller Support has responded on earlier ticket but you will see that it raises more questions than it resolves, seems team has no appreciation of BIL, remote fulfilment or connection break. Pls can someone look at this; editing a text in listing should be simplest task.

Hi @Seller_ukx1K9S8cM6lK,

Thanks for following up.

You were asked to create a new case ID as the Brand registry case ID was created in US store, while the issue exists in UK store.

Regarding the listing, I would suggest that you update the information as mentioned in Build International Listings.

Let us know here if this helped.

this case is still ongoing, despite talking 50+ amazon consultant no team has clue on how edits works on EU (when local language and translation languages are involved);

It should not be so difficult for amazon to help with basic text update

Case ID going in circles now is 12665379332 (every response from customer service is just proving that someone is playing hit and trial; but it should not be made so difficult for a seller)

Dear Amazon Community Managers,

@KJ_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon @Spencer_Amazon @Julia_Amzn @Indy_Amazon

@Ange_Amazon

@Danny_Amazon

@Sandy_Amazon

Not sure if amazon teams or rep who give comment on these messages have any say or insights into any ticket in real terms of not; or this is casual response platform.

This thread is now open for 2 months and Amazon tech teams (1st , 2nd, 3rd, 4th levels) have no clue at all on how their own systems work. I have no means left on how and where to escalate and who is the person in amazon who takes ownership of their system behaviour.

A very simple question on how to update a German text in German listing and also update English text in German on same listing (on language toggle); 100s of messages have been exchanged, just hit and trial suggestions from amazon at my expense wherein for me this is a production system but for amazon this seems to development environment wherein they are testing all what they should have learned in their training period. Really unhappy with this behaviour

@Amyy_AmazonYou had responded on this ticket 2 months back; do you want to check this ticket and history and see what's going on and if something you can do

@TaylorR_AmazonI think you are looking at something wrong; A raw comparison will show that German text for bullet points (as an example) is 232 words and English words are just 31 (same 1 year old). You support teams had already closed this ticket with no response; so I opened ticket just now

But someone should own this very simple problem; 2 months and no one has clue on how it should work and each one passing buck to next person. As community managers I hope you have any real touchpoint or escalation inside seller support, else this is this a forum to show frustration.
