Eori number form
Dear Amazon community,
I am planning to ship goods from China for the first time and had a few questions related to completion of EORI number.
At what point do I need to obtain EORI number -
Do I obtain it right before the shippment or after? While filling out the form - do i fill my name as a sender and the address of the fulfilment center?

Not sure, this was all I could find in Seller Central about EORI:
“Importer of record: Provide the legal name of your company or EU import representative, along with the full contact details, Economic Operators’ Registration and Identification number (EORI) and VAT registration number for the country of import”

You have to apply for EORI number before you export. It is related to your VAT number, so obvioulsly you have to be UK VAT registered first.

That’s not what I was told by HMRC when I got our EORI number… but we were already UK VAT reg.
