Product is not eligible for Remote Fba Fulfillment

Hello, My listing is inactive in Mexico and Canada, I have registered with the FBA Remote Fulfillment. But when filling out the Remote Fulfillment Eligible ASIN Report. My product says not eligible. I can see that there are very similar products being sold on those markets. Why isn’t my product eligible if it is selling FBA US now? And how can I resolve this? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

What is the ASIN?

Most products need to be re-added onto any new marketplaces that you want to sell them on. Amazon does not automatically create listings on other marketplaces because there is often a language difference, a difference in images for another language or even restrictions for some products that might require a different manufacturer barcode and even a different brand (which often the case with some books).

You should start by using Add a Product to re-add the item. You will usually need to match the title and brand for that manufacturer barcode or the ASIN.

I used to need to add the same product on 3 different marketplaces because I was the first to carry that product.

You will need to just get used to that. Note that after you add it, others may be able to also add their own listings. The good/bad news is that you won’t initially have competition and also the starting sales rank since there is no sales history for those products.

That report gives more information than that. What is the full reason under more details. Something like:
“Import restriction: Certain ASINs are ineligible for the program because of country-specific regulations, import restrictions, transportation risks, or a combination of these factors. If eligibility changes for this ASIN, it will automatically be added to Remote Fulfillment.”

Some things just don’t make sense for Amazon to make available in Canada or Mexico. Lots of our low cost to weight ratio items don’t make the cut. I’m assuming due to Amazon knowing they would spend more than it’s worth in transportation costs.

We have the SAME issue with our products. We sell t shirts. ONLY the PRIME stuff isn’t available for sale We can sell FBM but the PRIME products in the USA show they aren’t available for sale in Canada. We didn’t the issue prior…seems more recent.

Sure seems like it is a glitch in their system. We had the same issue. It took a few weeks of back and forth with one of the Amazon team members to get it fixed. Drove me nuts that I could send directly to Canada to do FBA that way but kept saying our product wasn’t eligible for export. We did get Canada fixed but now we have to work on Mexico separately even though its the exact same product and problem. Good luck

Greetings @BigRockProducts,

Have you reached out to Seller Support to investigate to see what additional options exist to contest the findings for your Remote Fulfillment of this product. In general the decisions on Remote Fulfillment Eligibility are final, however if you provide a Case ID I can try to determine if any additional information can be shared.

We have the same problem.
Almost all of our ASINs are listed for MX and are eligible for remote shipping.
But for CA, most of the products have the same text as yours, namely that the products are not suitable because of import restrictions and so on.

We also sell the products via FBA directly in CA. The situation currently is that we can no longer send stock to CA because of stock limits. So we had hoped that we could help us out from the warehouse in the US.
But even if the stock of the ASIN has dropped to 0 in CA (before that it doesn’t work anyway), the remote shipping doesn’t get active and in the created remote shipping file we only get this restriction message.

"Import restrictions: Certain ASINs are not eligible for the programme due to country-specific regulations, import restrictions, transportation risks or a combination of these factors. If the eligibility for this ASIN changes, it will automatically be added to the remote shipment."

No idea what else we can do.

BigRockProducts - I was wondering if you ever got your issue resolved. I’m experiencing the same issue with my products not being eligible for remote fulfillment. It doesn’t make any sense to me as they are not hazardous, restricted, prohibited, etc. If you found a workaround or have any tips, please let me know. I have a case open with Seller Support but so far I’m just getting the standard/generic response that’s shown in this thread.

Glenn, if you’re able to help, here’s my case ID: 11633757691.

Thanks,
Nancy
