VTR and despatch to Jersey
I have been trawling through all the info but not found an answer, so apologies if it is obvious - we buy postage at the Post Office - and are entering the ‘tracking’ reference number for our Large Letters and parcels as requested since 1st April - however we just posted a parcel to Jersey, and realised there is no reference number on the Post Office receipt.
Which drop-down do I use when I confirm shipment - it was sent Royal Mail 2nd.
Do Amazon class Jersey as international, so this won’t affect my VTR?
Any advice appreciated.

In theory Amazon shouldn’t include the shipment as the policy states
- Your domestic shipments (that is, shipments from an address in the UK to a delivery address in the UK), which are delivered through an integrated shipping service level provider with a tracked delivery service.
From the Jersey Government Website
Is Jersey classed as UK?
Jersey is not part of the UK and is not represented in the UK Parliament. By charter and convention, the UK Parliament does not legislate for the Island without consent.
However whether Amazon see it as part of the UK or not is another question altogether.
I would personally mark it as despatched by Royal Mail 2nd Class with no tracking number and assume that Amazon see it as a non domestic order. Although I don’t think there are any guarantees that this won’t flag on your VTR report in a few weeks, but if you have over 100 orders in a 30 day period with valid tracking a single failure won’t hurt you.

Thank you @Smiley_Guy
That is what I was thinking of doing - just worried about VTR as we used to use stamps/franking only, until recently, and only send about 60 per month maximum.
My VTR is at 0% at the moment,as fat fingers last month meant we marked 1 parcel as 2nd class signed for, by accident, rather than 2nd class stamps and franking .
The rest were all N/A for VTR as we could use that option then.
I can’t see any other option but to put no tracking, as you say, and keep my fingers crossed - thanks for the advice.

Last week I printed off a Buy Shipping label for Guernsey (2nd SP) - took it the PO and they got me to fill in a customs form .
Seller_QIfMqKDNjs4wc
Yes, we filled in a customs form at the Post Office as they requested one.
However as @Dedez said, the customer has put in UK on their address.
Asked support for help on what drop-down to use for the despatch, but got the usual cut and paste reply which was no help.
Shall put in 2nd class and no tracking, and see what happens.
Am I correct in thinking that if I put 2nd class stamps and franking it will be an automatic penalty as I have not used Amazon Buy Shipping?

@Winston_Amazon @Jessica @Maja_Amazon can you look into this please
Jersey/Guernsey is not in the United Kingdom, and therefore shouldn’t be counted towards VTR.
However customers are incorrectly selecting United Kingdom in their shipping address, so its being held against us.
Can you confirm that behind the scenes its being “validated” as no tracking required and not counted against us? or how should we be marking these as dispatched ?

Was still chasing seller support on this - another great reply :-

Note:This will be considered as International and there is will be no exemption from VTR.
Kindly get in touch with the post office .
We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter."
So no exemption from VTR on international despatch - this is blatantly wrong isn’t it?
What am I meant to get in touch with the Post Office about ??
Winston_Amazon
Hey all,
I was looking into this and I got some clarification.
Jersey is not counted as international, it’s counted as domestic and sellers can see this in their domestic shipping templates in the UK marketplaces (it’s part of what is listed as Channel Islands).
I hope that this helps and feel free to keep posting.

Thanks @Winston_Amazon for the clarification - but my original question was - how to mark a Jersey order as despatched as Royal Mail 2nd class parcels to Jersey do not provide a tracking number, as they do to the rest of the UK.
I have had to leave the tracking reference blank, so am worried it will affect my VTR.
