Amazon show next to the order: Signature Confirmation Recommended

Others had this before, where Amazon shows next to the order: 'Signature Confirmation Recommended'

Perhaps not noticed before, or does not happen often, but Signature Confirmation Recommended for £120 order, yet orders for far more not saying that information.

Does that mean Amazon have had issues with that Buyer, or what could cause them to add that information.

Any ideas?

@Seller_IQo80d99W2DzP Hey there! Great question about the "Signature Confirmation Recommended" notification you're seeing on Amazon. Ultimately, this recommendation is designed to protect you as a seller.

The system considers many factors beyond just buyer behavior, or the value of the item(s) being ordered. It could be related to the delivery address, the combination of order characteristics, or simply a precautionary measure. It doesn't automatically mean the buyer has had previous issues.

If you see this recommendation, you have a few options:

  • Purchase signature confirmation through your carrier when shipping the order
  • Use Amazon's Buy Shipping service - This automatically provides protection against buyer claims
  • Check the box in "Confirm Shipment" if you've purchased signature confirmation through your chosen carrier

The key benefit: If a buyer later claims they didn't receive the order and you purchased signature confirmation, Amazon's investigation team will prioritize your case, and make the determination whether or not to deny invalid NOTR claims, protecting your funds.

Feel free to keep note of this messaging on this specific order, and flag to the Seller Support team if you run into any potential issues in the future for this order. If you need further assistance in the future here after working with Support, you can follow-up on this thread with your Case ID!
