£200 in promotional clicks Amazon Marketing Offer

Hi All,

I have received an email from Amazon offering £200 in promotional clicks. Apparently to benefit from it I need to start a campaign and set it to run with no end date.
Have you accepted this kind of promotion before ? Any advice would be very much appreciated.

I am just concerned about losing money at the end I guess.

Thank you

I don’t use advertising myself.
However, be sure to fully understand what your actually getting with the £200, before you do anything.
As to the campaign itself, you can set a daily budget on it. So as long as you set this and monitor regularly, you shouldn’t overspend on it.
I would however suggest that you do a little investigation as to how exactly it all works before starting a campaign. Wrong keywords etc, can cost you money for nothing at all. So you need to choose wisely.

It’s legit, you should definitely use it but if make sure to do some keyword optimization before you start to make the most of the free clicks

We have campaign running for last 2.5 weeks with no end date on it and stll haven’t received 200£ promotional credit.

Makes me think if Amazon trying us to scam.

We have set low bids so we don’t spend much money before we receive promotional offer of £200.

Will see if we get one at all.
According to amazon after 2 weeks of running campaign with no end date you should receive promotional bonus. It’s been 2.5 weeks now and still nothing,

We used an alternative advertising method and found the cost of the advertising was very expensive. So expensive we ran at a loss for three weeks. No alternative but to cancel the advertising and use our own method. The recommendations out weighted any benefits. I guess we are now going to see a squeeze on sales due to the increase inflation.

Does anyone know a good way of checking if these emails are genuine. I never like to log on from a link contained in an email.

If they send you an email is there anywhere on your seller account where it will appear if it is genuine?

so it, I only got £20 so it’s worth it, get your best sellers in, to make the most of the free clicks and you will run out of stock

SS already confirmed the email as genuine in my case, so not a phishing problem.

I have had this kind of offer 3 times now, the first was part of the FBA New Selection Programme which awarded £160 total across 2 sets of £80 to be used on sponsored products. They were supposed to be credited automatically I think 2 weeks after the ‘qualifying action’ as described in the T&Cs for the programme but I ended up having to raise a ticket. Waited 2 and a half weeks for them to deal with the 1st ticket and when I had the same issue with the 2nd payment it took them another 5 weeks to deal with that. But I did get them eventually and both sets were valid for 30 days respectively.

The second offer was £150 for attending the Prime Day Summit at the start of last month. This was also supposed to be credited automatically but wasn’t and I’m now just under 3 weeks in waiting for my ticket to be resolved.

I will note that for both of these promotions when creating a ticket, Seller Support were adamant that I had to have been specifically invited to make use of these promotions and to send them evidence of the entire offer including the T&Cs. If you have not received an email invite for the promotions you are not eligible.

I also received the same £200 offer that you have and already meet the criteria but not sure if I want to go through the hassle of trying to get it credited a 4th time.

If you go to the billing and payments section of the ad campaign manager there is a tab for promotional credits. This is where they appear if and when Amazon credit them. Until they show here, any spend accrued will be charged to your usual payment method, even if the free credit gets awarded before your next payment goes out. Once the promotional credits appear on this page, double check the T&Cs to see what type of ad the credit applies to - mine have been specifically for sponsored products. Any further spend for the relevant ad type should be deducted from the promo ad credit, which should update occasionally to let you know how much you have left. Obviously this is only until you exceed the credit amount or until it expires, at which point any excess will be attributed back to your usual payment method.

N.B. The above is based on my personal experiences and does not necessarily mean you will have the same, please make sure to read the conditions of the offers thoroughly (and save a full copy if you need to contact support) and be sure to monitor your ad spend.

Think of it like those introductory offers from online betting companies…
