How Amazon make life impossible for small businesses
As I mentioned yesterday, Amazon has added 3/4 days on top of my delivery dates, therefore my sales have plummeted to nearly zero. I can't disburse money because of the reserve, although Amazon has a lot of my money and this week I will be skint, after I decided to replenish my stock as the past few weeks were very busy. I got the orders and at the same time Amazon lengthen my delivery dates, and I haven't opened the boxes yet, what's the point? No one is buying.
All this might be caused by a parcel to Guernsey being delayed, just one, and technically I am still on target anyway. But the biggest problem is that there is no one to talk to, a human would realise that my performance is good and one parcel to Guernsey shouldn't mean much. I know that SS will write how important my business is to humanity and copy and paste something not really helpful and that's it.
I have always been under no illusion that selling on Amazon would be easy but I have been doing it for 16 months and with a lot of work have managed to have a little business that is getting stronger every month. Now if I could I would just walk away...

Last week I was fine, I was selling loads etc, then my delivery dates suddenly changed and I could only disburse £24. Before anyone asks my account health is fine, no issues, no A-Z nothing. Anyone selling on Amazon should know that it doesn't matter how law abiding and dedicated one is, There is always a potential problem around the corner: a A-Z too many that makes you go above 1% and thus losing the buy box, a price policy violation that deactivates a listing that you have bought stock for or a listing that you can't change, search suppressed because is missing some unnecessary information and you might have sent stock to FBA. For a small business that doesn't sit on a large amount of cash, any of this could be catastrophic.

Did you turn on the SSA settings, this normally solves the problem for most sellers, the other thing that causes this is if there are known problems with your selected courier, for instance if you are in London say, and you use Royal Mail, if there are delays in London then Amazon will extend your delivery times so that they are more accurate for the customers.
Don't think your on-time delivery date will be an issue on 97.3% to be honest, that's a pretty good score.
