Sending First Shipment To Amazon FBA - Label Products Help
Hi Guys,
Could do with a bit of advice/guidance here, When you are working on amazon FBA shipments the products that need amazons bar-codes, Has any one used there zebra printer (which do our shipping labels) to print the bar-codes off and affix on the items? as the labels/bar-codes are downloaded in PDF format.
Amazon say they can do it but at 15p cost but am just wondering if it is possible to do through a zebra label printer or any other suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Use of a thermal printer is not recommended as the barcodes will fade after a while.
You need either laser, a good inkjet on good quality labels or a thermal transfer printer.

Rugsy is right never use a thermal printer, they fade and can be rubbed off any moisture will affect the label also. We print all FNSKU Amazon barcode labels using a HP Laser Jet P3015 on A4 labels, we found Blick labels are the best value and best quality widely available on Ebay / Amazon etc, depending on size you can print 21up etc. You can use any reasonable laser printer.

I use a thermal printer - I have a zebra GK420D thermal printer, but it’s too clunky to get the barcode labels of the correct size/format, so I therefore use a Brother thermal QL-570 . I take everyone’s point about the longevity of the label …but frankly, I don’t reckon on my products being in the Amazon FC for that long to worry about this much (also such are the quality of Amazon’s FC barcode scanners, the thermal label would have to be in total tatters for them not to be able to scan it)
