Sales drop before Christmas - is it normal?
Hey guys,
My sales have suddenly dropped MASSIVELY since the 22nd of December. Is this normal for this period on Amazon? From selling 70-80 units even just the day before, I’ve only done about 10-15 a day in the last 2 days and absolutely nothing today as of yet.
Is anyone else experiencing this as well? And has this been the case historically?

Sales will drop off if you are selling Christmas related stuff.
I am mainly on FBA so sales are good until the 22nd/23rd Christmas Eve is always the slowest day of the year.

Suddenly dropped off for us too but it didn’t help that UK fulfilment to EU customers ended and Amazon didn’t correctly balance our stock between the two markets.
Here is hoping that late January things can start to get back on track.

Yes it’s normal.
We sell on our own site, ebay and Amazon and all channels will drop off for us a few days before Christmas
Normally what we will do to grab some of those sales back is to run a special offer on Christmas Day & Boxing day but this year because of the block on sending to Europe we are going to hold it back until the New Year and take the 1st non working Christmas i’ve had in 30 years. (saying that though I know I’ll end up keeping checking my emails out of habit)

Hey folks, thanks for your replies. After about 4 days of continuously and extremely poor sales, yesterday was a much better day. How did you guys fair?

Mine are still bad
I havent recovered from the wierd enormous spike in page views in the middle of December that others were also reporting and now non of my tracking is being recognised from 11 December either.
Not really sure how to fix this.
